The landscape of content monetisation is rapidly evolving, driven by the explosion of digital and streaming platforms alongside advances in data-driven advertising technologies. Media companies now face the challenge of addressing regional issues such as audience segmentation, rising data costs, and shifting regulatory conditions as they strive to establish sustainable revenue streams.

In response to these changes, Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is launching the 2025 Marketplace Survey focused on Broadcast Advertising, Audience Measurement, and Monetisation.

This extensive survey aims to evaluate the current market environment, analyse monetisation models, and pinpoint effective strategies that will assist media companies in adjusting to the dynamic market landscape.

The survey is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how media companies and advertisers across Africa engage with audiences and seize new opportunities. By collecting insights from broadcasters, content creators, media agencies, and advertising technology providers from the continent and beyond, the study will reveal emerging trends, identify significant challenges, and highlight best practices that are influencing the monetisation landscape.

The results will serve as a crucial resource for stakeholders eager to innovate their content delivery approaches and enhance their advertising collaborations within a rapidly changing digital media space.
