MTN Group has announced the appointment of David Behr as the new Group Chief Enterprise Business Officer, effective 1 July 2025. In this pivotal role, David will spearhead the Group’s Enterprise Business function, following the recent merger of Converged Solutions and the Group Enterprise Business Unit into a unified, streamlined structure.
This move follows strategic initiatives launched earlier this year to optimise MTN’s commercial operations. The integration is part of the Group’s broader goal to enhance Commercial Excellence by aligning Go-To-Market channels and strengthening synergies across various functions. This positions MTN to effectively provide comprehensive, end-to-end enterprise solutions while improving its capabilities as a systems integrator and managed services provider.
“We are thrilled to welcome David into this key role as we continue to evolve our enterprise business for the future. His extensive experience and leadership will undoubtedly position MTN to deliver integrated, next-generation solutions contributing to Africa’s development,” stated Selorm Adadevoh, Chief Commercial Officer of MTN Group.
As the Group Chief Enterprise Business Officer, David will oversee the growth and implementation of MTN’s enterprise strategy, encompassing voice and data services and next-generation solutions such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Unified Communications, and Cloud. His responsibilities will extend across all MTN operating companies, strongly emphasising enhancing the Group’s product offerings and expanding its managed services and system integration capabilities.
David brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, having held significant roles across various regions. Before this appointment, he was the CEO of MTN Converged Solutions, where he led substantial portfolio transformations in key markets. His career also includes leadership positions as CEO of Liquid C2 and Cloudmania and as Group Chief Product Officer and Group Chief Digital Officer at Liquid Telecommunications.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master of Engineering from the University of Bristol. This appointment underscores MTN’s ongoing dedication to leveraging technology, innovation, and inclusive growth to drive Africa’s progress.
