Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has achieved a remarkable milestone with her film ‘Oversabi Aunty,’ which has crossed US$ 772,000 at the box office, making it the first Nollywood directorial debut to reach this mark. The film is now the fourth-highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.

FilmOne Entertainment, the film’s distributor, confirmed that ‘Oversabi Aunty’ has grossed US$ 772,000 from cinema screenings across West Africa. It remains in cinemas throughout Nigeria and in select locations in the United Kingdom, with upcoming releases planned in the United States and Canada.

On X, FilmOne Entertainment announced the achievement: the 4th-highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time. West Africa, this is a complete celebration!!! OVERSABI AUNTY is still showing in cinemas nationwide and is coming to the USA and Canada soon.”

Toyin Abraham expressed her gratitude on X, thanking God, her fans, and the production team. She wrote, “Thank you, God. Thank you, Toyintitans. Thank you, Nigeria. Thanks to my cast and crew. I’m short of words. Oversabi Aunty is still showing in cinemas near you, and “I am so grateful for this support!”

‘Oversabi Aunty’ marks Abraham’s directorial debut and has continued to attract viewers weeks after its release. With its international expansion underway, the film is expected to further Abraham’s box office record as it reaches more audiences in North America.
