The Nigerian government President has reinstated Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as the director-general of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
In a statement released on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the country’s President, it was announced that Dembos, who had briefly stepped down due to recent management changes, will return to the role he was first appointed to in October 2023. He is set to complete his three-year tenure.
Additionally, Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, appointed executive director of News in 2024, has been recalled to continue his tenure, which is scheduled to last until 2027.
Onanuga emphasised that this directive invalidates the prior appointments of a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.
