
Renowned hip-hop artist Jude “MI” Abaga is set to debut in a lead voice role in the animated feature Gammy and the Living Things, scheduled for release in Nigerian cinemas on September 5. In this ambitious project, he will be joined by a distinguished lineup of Nollywood talents, including Joke Silva, Bovi Ugboma, and Pete Edochie, as stated by FilmOne Entertainment, who describe the film as Nigeria’s most significant animated endeavour to date.
At the narrative’s core is Jude “MI” Abaga’s character Gammy, an aspiring agama lizard with dreams extending beyond his natural habitat’s limitations. The film combines humour, music, and emotional depth, chronicling Gammy’s journey to Lagos, addressing relatable challenges while celebrating rich cultural themes. Casting industry luminaries such as Joke Silva, comedian Bovi Ugboma, and celebrated actor Pete Edochie adds star power and artistic gravitas to the project.
