MBC Group has joined forces with UK-based Acamar Films to introduce the beloved preschool series Bing to Arabic-speaking audiences. This comprehensive partnership encompasses programming, licensing, and merchandising rights, with Bing set to premiere on MBC3 and the group’s streaming platform Shahid in July 2025. The series will be available in Arabic, US English, and French.

This collaboration showcases MBC’s commitment to enhancing high-quality children’s programming and its aspirations to broaden the Bing brand into various products and experiences beyond television.

Ashraf Younis, Director of MBC3, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming launch: “We are thrilled to bring Bing to our youngest viewers, reinforcing our dedication to delivering top-notch entertainment across both traditional broadcasts and digital platforms in the MENA region. We also look forward to developing more interactive experiences, including toys, games, and family-themed events.”

MBC Group’s licensing division in Riyadh will spearhead the introduction of Bing merchandise and related events, working closely with Acamar Films’ headquarters in London. This initiative includes creating Arabic-language books, clothing, and family activities centred around the show.

Originally launched on the BBC’s CBeebies and in collaboration with Brown Bag Films, Bing has received international praise for its genuine storytelling and emphasis on emotional development and resilience in children. Its debut in the MENA region marks a significant step in Acamar’s global strategy.

Mikael Shields, CEO of Acamar Films and producer of Bing, remarked: “We greatly admire Ashraf and the MBC team’s achievements over the years in providing exceptional media experiences for young audiences and their families in the region. This partnership represents our initial strategic endeavour to expand Bing globally, and we are excited to launch the series across all media forms, licensing, publishing, and consumer products in the MENA region.”

Jiella Esmat, CEO of 8 Lions Entertainment, facilitated the deal in collaboration with Brands & Rights 360 and Acamar Films.
