Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is pleased to announce that the Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026 will be held at the prestigious Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana, on 22 – 23 September 2026.

The annual convention is expected to bring together senior executives, broadcasters, media owners, content creators, regulators, policymakers, technology innovators, and industry stakeholders from across West Africa to explore the latest developments, emerging opportunities, and strategic priorities shaping the future of the broadcasting and media sector.

As media consumption habits continue to evolve and technological innovation transforms the way content is created, distributed, and monetised, the convention will provide an important platform for industry leaders to exchange insights, discuss market realities, and identify practical pathways for growth and sustainability.

Over two days, delegates will participate in keynote presentations, panel discussions, industry case studies, and networking sessions covering a range of topics, including digital broadcasting, AI-driven media transformation, content monetisation, audience engagement, platform innovation, regulatory developments, and the future of television, radio, and digital media services in the region.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa, said, “West Africa’s broadcasting and media industry is entering a period of unprecedented change and opportunity. The Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026 is designed to provide stakeholders with the insights, partnerships, and strategic discussions needed to thrive in this evolving environment. We are pleased to welcome delegates to Accra and to the outstanding facilities of Labadi Beach Hotel, where industry leaders will come together to explore solutions, share best practices, and help shape the next chapter of broadcasting development across the region.”

The convention is expected to attract participants from television and radio broadcasters, streaming and digital media platforms, telecommunications operators, regulatory agencies, government institutions, content production companies, technology vendors, advertising organisations, and industry associations.

As one of the region’s premier industry gatherings, the Broadcasters Convention – West Africa 2026 aims to foster dialogue, strengthen industry partnerships, and provide valuable insights into the trends and innovations that will define the future of broadcasting in West Africa.
