Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is pleased to announce Sputnik as a Strategic partner of the upcoming 7th Radio Broadcasters Convention – Africa 2026, set to take place on 01 – 02 July 2026 at The Venue, Green Park, Johannesburg, South Africa.

As Africa’s radio broadcasting industry continues to evolve amid rapid technological change, Sputnik’s participation underscores the growing importance of innovative technology solutions in helping broadcasters enhance operational efficiency, strengthen audience engagement, and unlock new growth opportunities.

The Radio Broadcasters Convention – Africa has become the continent’s leading platform for radio industry leaders, bringing together broadcasters, media executives, regulators, content creators, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to discuss the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of radio and audio services across Africa.

Through its partnership with the Convention, Sputnik will engage with industry professionals from across the continent, sharing insights on the technologies, platforms, and strategies that are helping broadcasters adapt to changing audience behaviours, evolving content consumption patterns, and the increasing demand for digital-first broadcasting solutions.

Commenting on the partnership, Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sputnik as a partner of the 7th Radio Broadcasters Convention – Africa 2026. As broadcasters across Africa continue to navigate an unprecedented period of transformation, collaboration with technology innovators such as Sputnik is essential to ensuring the industry remains resilient, competitive, and future-ready. We look forward to the valuable expertise and perspectives Sputnik will bring to the Convention.”

The 2026 edition of the Convention will provide a platform for meaningful discussions on a range of strategic issues affecting radio broadcasters, including digital transformation, audience measurement, content innovation, monetisation strategies, artificial intelligence, cloud-based broadcasting, regulatory developments, and the future of audio services in Africa.

Sputnik’s involvement further strengthens the Convention’s commitment to connecting broadcasters with the technologies and partnerships needed to drive innovation and sustainable growth across the sector.

The event is expected to attract senior executives, station managers, programme directors, engineers, regulators, technology suppliers, and industry decision-makers from across Africa and beyond.
