In a significant move forward for the Paratus Group’s rapid growth across Africa, the telecommunications and network services provider has announced the launch of Paratus Uganda in collaboration with renowned Kampala-based Roke Telkom.

The establishment of Paratus Uganda aims to integrate Roke Telkom’s services in Uganda with those of the Paratus Group across Africa and globally, delivering a comprehensive connectivity and cross-border solution tailored for enterprise customers throughout Uganda and the surrounding region. Paratus Uganda is also set to expand its reach into various sectors, including healthcare, mining, tourism, and NGOs.

Roke Telkom is recognised as Uganda’s leading internet service provider and managed solutions expert, boasting over 19 years of experience catering to both enterprise and retail clients through its wireless and fibre networks. The company has developed and managed metro fibre rings across all major cities in Uganda, creating integrated networks and security solutions for government, retail, and security clientele.

According to Edwin Kyambadde, the Roke representative for Paratus Uganda, “The combination of our local expertise and coverage with Paratus Group’s African and global connectivity positions Paratus Uganda as a key regional partner for enterprise clients, both local and international. Our highly skilled technical teams across the country bring extensive local and regional knowledge, delivering fast, reliable, high-quality connectivity that national and international industries need. This is an exciting time for Uganda, as Paratus Uganda will be able to provide unmatched connectivity solutions.”

Paratus Group’s CEO, Schalk Erasmus, expressed enthusiasm about expanding into Uganda, stating, “We are thrilled to be launching in Uganda for multiple reasons. It not only expands our presence in a crucial African market but also enhances connectivity between neighbouring countries, strengthening our integrated network services.”

Martin Cox, Group Commercial Executive of Paratus Group, remarked, “Our partnership with Roke to establish Paratus Uganda is a significant milestone in our growth strategy and underscores our dedication to providing top-notch network services throughout the continent. We are committed to collaborating with essential local partners in our African expansion and are pleased to team up with Roke in Uganda.”
