StarzPlay has been recognised as the most positively discussed streaming platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to the MENA Streaming Services Flash Report 2025 by DataEQ. This independent study analysed over 109,000 public online conversations across 17 countries and found that StarzPlay secured the top spot with a Net Sentiment score of +22%, outperforming both regional and global rivals.

The report evaluated consumer sentiment across key areas, including content quality, platform reliability, marketing effectiveness, sports coverage, and payment experience. StarzPlay stood out as the best performer in customer satisfaction, reflecting its deep understanding of regional audiences and its commitment to providing high-quality streaming alongside content that resonates locally.

As a homegrown platform in the MENA region, StarzPlay’s success stems from its ongoing investment in technology, user experience, and content tailored to local preferences. Maaz Sheikh, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, stated, “This achievement underscores our dedication to offering value to our subscribers through superior streaming quality, culturally relevant entertainment, and an intuitive user experience.” He emphasised the pride in delivering stories, sports, and experiences that mirror the region’s diversity and aspirations.

Viewers particularly appreciated StarzPlay for its extensive international library, Arabic originals, and reliable live-streaming capabilities, especially during significant sporting events. The report highlighted the popularity of Turkish and Arabic dramas, indicating a strong appetite for culturally resonant storytelling. StarzPlay’s expanding collection of Arabic originals, Turkish series, and pan-regional productions sets it apart from competitors by balancing authenticity with broad appeal.

Recent innovations, including AI-driven personalisation and improved content discovery tools, have further cemented StarzPlay’s position as a technology-focused leader in entertainment. Its reliable streaming of major sports events, such as UFC, Serie A, and ICC Cricket, has enhanced its reputation in a region where live-streaming quality is crucial for viewer satisfaction.

With operations in 20 countries, StarzPlay continues to grow through exclusive sports rights, strategic global partnerships, and original content. Its commitment to innovation, reliability, and audience trust highlights its influential role in one of the world’s most rapidly changing streaming markets.
