As digital consumption and video streaming continue to reshape the broadcasting landscape, Africa is emerging as a key player in the over-the-top (OTT) content revolution. The OTT Streaming Africa Summit 2025, set to take place from 18 to 19 February 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, promises to be the region’s foremost event, designed to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and experts from across the continent and beyond.

This high-profile executive summit, in its 5th annual edition, is organised by Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) as the platform for collaboration for broadcasters, content creators, telecom operators, OTT providers, and policymakers to explore the critical issues and opportunities in the business of content streaming in Africa.

According to the organisers, the summit will bring together an impressive line-up of CEOs, CTOs, content creators, telecom executives, digital strategists, broadcasters, and advertising professionals. These key stakeholders will share their insights on how OTT services can unlock new revenue streams, expand their reach, and elevate Africa’s presence in the global digital media landscape.

Commenting on the event’s significance, Ms Nonku Mhkize, the OTT Streaming Africa Summit’s director of events, said, “This key industry meeting will provide an unmatched platform for Africa’s digital content creators and distributors to explore the immense possibilities presented by OTT services. As the OTT space continues to evolve, this summit will help stakeholders navigate the challenges, adopt new innovations, and maximise the opportunities to drive sustainable growth across the continent.”

The OTT Streaming Africa Summit 2025 is the gateway to understanding the future of digital broadcasting in Africa.
