On the second day of the OTT Streaming Platforms And Content Management Summit, participants saw insightful discussions, innovative strategies, and engaging presentations from industry leaders and experts, with delegates concluding that they see a secure future filled with enormous opportunities for the OTT content streaming industry in Africa.

This platform – Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) – convened the industry summit in collaboration with the Southern Africa Broadcasting Association (SABA). Our partners and supporters included Sweet.TV, Discover Digital, SABC+ Eutelsat Group, Broadsmart, and Mangomolo.

Day two of the Summit started with the President of SABA, Mr Stanley Benjamin Similo, giving a compelling keynote address on “The Future of Content Consumption” and delving into emerging consumer behaviours and technological advancements shaping the future of OTT streaming.

Several leading partners in the industry delivered keynote talks, with Reach Africa speaking on the issue of ‘FAST To Market In Africa’ as well as Mangomolo delivering a case study on ‘Case Study: A Sustainable OTT Service’.

The summit provided attendees with valuable insights, actionable strategies, and networking opportunities essential for navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of OTT streaming. With engaging presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and the support of industry-leading sponsors, the event served as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration within the OTT ecosystem.

A snap survey of attendees and participants revealed they thought the industry meeting was a great success given the calibre and high-level quality of the participants, the quality of networking and engagements available, the innovations showcased, and the seamless organisation of the whole event.
