Amazon Prime Video Partners With France Télévisions To Enhance Streaming Experience

Amazon Prime Video has partnered with France Télévisions to bring the france.tv platform to Prime members in France. This collaboration means that from the outset, all Prime users in France will have access to the full range of france.tv offerings, which include live broadcasts from channels such as France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, and France Info. Subscribers will also enjoy replay programs and exclusive content alongside a vast library of 20,000 titles that will be prominently featured on the Prime Video homepage in France.

This announcement follows Netflix’s recent partnership with commercial broadcaster TF1, although that collaboration won’t be available until next year, unlike the immediate availability of the Amazon-France Télévisions deal that kicks off right away.

Delphine Ernotte Cunci, the President and CEO of France Télévisions, shared her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to make france.tv available to all Prime Video users starting July 3. This groundbreaking distribution strategy represents a historic move for us, enhancing the visibility of our public service platform and giving audiences a chance to explore the rich offerings of france.tv in fresh settings.”

Christophe Deguine, CEO of Prime Video in France, expressed his excitement about the partnership, noting, “Following our alliances with Max, Paramount+, Ciné+OCS, Universal+, and MGM+, as well as 43 additional channels, we are proud to have finalised this agreement. It allows us to present France Télévisions’ extensive catalogue to all our Prime customers in France. We are constantly exploring innovative ways to enrich our content offerings and solidify Prime Video’s position as the top destination for entertainment.”

Beyond entertainment, the collaboration also encompasses sports, documentaries, drama, and news coverage through France Info.
