Rwanda is poised for the next phase of its digital transformation, which will necessitate enhanced coordination, strategic investments, and enduring partnerships.

This insight was shared by Paula Ingabire, the Minister of ICT and Innovation, during the Digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Compact stakeholder event held in Rwanda, facilitated by the World Bank Group.

Ingabire remarked, “The Digital and AI Compact will establish a common framework to progress Rwanda’s digital and AI goals by aligning stakeholders with defined priorities, coordinated investments, and measurable outcomes.”

The event brought together representatives from the government, development partners, and private-sector players to outline objectives, address implementation challenges, and foster collaboration across vital areas such as digital and data infrastructure, AI talent development, and support for local solutions.

The minister highlighted Rwanda’s journey in digital transformation, noting remarkable advancements in connectivity, digital public infrastructure, e-government services, and innovation.

“To advance to the next phase, we will need stronger coordination, targeted investments, and ongoing collaboration,” Ingabire emphasised.
