Orange Sierra Leone has appointed Aïcha Touré as its new CEO, marking an exciting new phase for the organisation.
The previous CEO, Sekou Amadou Bah, officially welcomed Touré and guided her on a tour of the company’s various facilities, including the Orange Digital Centre, technical divisions, and employee engagement sessions.
With over 12 years of experience in the telecom, technology, and financial services industries, Touré brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role. Since joining the Orange Group in 2017 as the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Orange Mali, she has driven significant initiatives, including the deployment of 4G technology, the expansion of fibre infrastructure, and improvements in energy access.
In 2019, she was promoted to CEO of Orange Money Mali, where she successfully transformed the company into the leading force in financial inclusion within the country.
Touré holds a Master’s degree in engineering from Centrale Supélec and an Executive MBA from MIT, where she was a Sloan Fellow. She is dedicated to using digital innovation to foster inclusive growth and enhance economic empowerment throughout Africa.
