Eutelsat has announced the appointment of Sébastien Rouge as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, effective February 1, 2026. This decision comes under the leadership of Jean-François Fallacher, the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
With more than 30 years of experience in international financial leadership, Rouge’s appointment highlights Eutelsat’s commitment to enhancing economic resilience, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. His extensive career spans the global industrial and technology sectors, where he has consistently achieved performance improvements through a combination of execution and visionary leadership.
Before joining Eutelsat, Rouge was CFO at Imerys, where he significantly improved the group’s financial performance while spearheading digital transformation. He also held the CFO position at Soitec, a leading semiconductor materials company. Earlier in his career, Rouge was associated with the Alstom Group for many years, serving in several senior finance roles, including Senior Vice President of Finance at Alstom Power. Following Alstom’s merger with General Electric, he held executive positions within GE Power, culminating in roles including CEO of the GE-Alstom Nuclear Systems joint venture and CFO of Steam Power Systems.
A graduate of EDHEC Business School, Rouge is originally from France. He will succeed Christophe Caudrelier, who has served as CFO for three years and will remain with Eutelsat during the transition to ensure a seamless handover of duties, reflecting his ongoing support for the company’s leadership and strategic initiatives.
Jean-François Fallacher expressed, “Sébastien’s extensive financial expertise and experience managing complex industrial organisations make him a great addition to Eutelsat’s management team. His guidance will be instrumental in supporting the Group’s strategic and operational goals while maintaining strong financial performance and delivering sustainable value to all stakeholders.”
Fallacher also extended gratitude to Christophe Caudrelier for his dedication and professionalism over the past three years. Caudrelier was pivotal in guiding Eutelsat through its telecom transformation and the merger with OneWeb, helping to solidify the Group’s financial foundations during a time of considerable change. Fallacher wishes him success in his future endeavours.
