Saudi Film Commission And Korean Film Council Forge Strategic Partnership

Saudi Film Commission and the Korean Film Council have signed a strategic partnership to expand cooperation in the film industry, promote cultural exchange and support industry growth between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

Building on a 2019 memorandum of understanding, the agreement aims to enhance collaboration in production, knowledge-sharing, talent development and technological innovation. It reflects both nations’ commitment to supporting filmmakers and creating international opportunities for creative professionals.

As part of the partnership, training and development programmes will be introduced, featuring workshops, master classes and mentorship initiatives led by industry experts. These programmes will focus on key areas such as production, animation, screenwriting and directing, helping filmmakers in both countries refine their skills.

The collaboration also aims to boost joint film production, encouraging Saudi and Korean filmmakers to develop and co-produce projects. Networking opportunities and industry meetings will be organised at major film festivals, including Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival and South Korea’s Busan International Film Festival.
