Nollyfemme, in partnership with Nollywire, has recently unveiled its shorts program’s highly anticipated maiden edition. This initiative, known as Nollyfemme, aims to showcase the exceptional work of female filmmakers in the Nigerian film industry. It seeks to spotlight the talent and creativity of both emerging and seasoned women in filmmaking.

The event, themed ‘Evening of Escape,’ is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Didimuseum later this month. Attendees can look forward to an enriching experience filled with a curated selection of inspiring films, engaging discussions, and valuable networking opportunities.

According to the festival’s organisers, one of its key objectives is to create a platform that celebrates and amplifies women’s diverse voices and perspectives in the film industry. Through this program, the organisers seek to showcase female filmmakers’ unique storytelling abilities and provide a stage for their work to be appreciated by a wider audience.

The festival is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all, extending an open invitation to filmmakers and non-filmmakers alike. Whether you have a deep passion for cinema, work within the industry, or are simply curious about the art of filmmaking, this event promises something for everyone.

Organisers are encouraging the public to attend and witness the exceptional talent and creativity of female filmmakers in Nigeria. Guests can support and celebrate the work of female directors and producers while also gaining valuable insights into their artistic processes.

The festival promises to be a remarkable and unmissable occasion for anyone passionate about film and committed to championing women in the industry. It will offer a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of the Nigerian film industry.
