In an age where digital content reigns supreme, the twin challenges of protecting and monetising content have become paramount for creators, publishers and regulators alike.

On the 7th and 8th of May 2024, broadcasting and media industry leaders will gather in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the Broadcast And Digital Media Convention – East Africa. The event is dedicated to addressing pressing major issues as it brings together thought leaders, industry experts, and stakeholders from around the globe to explore emerging trends, share insights, and foster collaboration in this dynamic field.

Commenting on the forthcoming industry convention, Ms Tigist Kebede of Habeshaview Technologies (co-conveners of the trade meeting with this platform) said, “In an era defined by digital disruption, content monetisation has emerged as critical imperatives for stakeholders across the board. The event in Addis Ababa represents a unique opportunity to delve into these complex issues, exchange knowledge and best practices, and chart a course towards a more resilient and sustainable digital ecosystem.”

Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa and publisher of this platform, said, “The upcoming broadcasters’ event in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia, will be a crucible for ideas, insights and innovative solutions to help executives and practitioners navigate the ever-evolving landscape for our industry in the digital ecosystem”.

“By fostering dialogue, collaboration, and actionable solutions, participants will undoubtedly contribute to shaping a more secure, equitable, and prosperous digital future for all”, Mr Pius noted.
