Safaricom has announced significant enhancements to its Home Fibre service, offering customers internet speeds up to 2.5 times at no additional cost. This upgrade applies to all Home Fibre plans, ensuring that users enjoy enhanced connectivity while maintaining their existing pricing.

Under the new speed parameters, entry-level packages will offer up to 15 Mbps, while mid-tier options will offer 35 Mbps and 80 Mbps. For those needing more robust internet access, premium plans will deliver speeds of up to 400 Mbps, ideal for homes with heavy online activities.

Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom, emphasised the importance of reliable high-speed internet in today’s connected world. “As homes become increasingly connected, reliable high-speed internet is no longer a luxury but an essential service for modern living. By upgrading Home Fibre speeds, we are delivering greater value to our customers, strengthening our market leadership, and laying the foundation for smarter, more connected homes and communities across Kenya,” he stated.

With internet coverage reaching over 800,000 households, Safaricom continues to lead the fixed internet sector, supported by customer trust and a reputation for dependable service. The recent speed enhancement aims to provide added value to customers while also preparing homes for the future of smart technology, ensuring a seamless experience for activities such as multi-device streaming and high-quality video calls.
