Du Launches 5G+ To Revolutionise Mobile Connectivity In The UAE

Du, the telecommunications and digital services provider based in the UAE, has launched 5G+, its state-of-the-art mobile network, to elevate connectivity standards. Built on du’s 5G-Advanced framework, this new service boasts download speeds nearly double that of previous offerings, alongside reduced latency and enhanced overall performance, thereby establishing a new industry standard for mobile communications in the region.

Karim Benkirane, Chief Commercial Officer at du, stated, “With the introduction of 5G+, we are setting a new benchmark for mobile performance in the UAE. Our goal is not only to offer faster speeds, but also to unlock new opportunities for our customers. As the use of generative AI continues to grow, 5G+ will enhance network capabilities, enriching the experience of AI-driven applications. Think ultra-HD streaming, competitive mobile gaming, and instant access to AI applications—our customers will soon experience seamless, reliable, next-generation connectivity. This is our vision for the future of connectivity and the real value we aim to deliver.”

The 5G+ service features a range of network enhancements designed to significantly enhance the mobile experience. Users can expect faster speeds, substantially better performance, lower latency for real-time applications, and a stable connection prioritising service quality.

This new technology will revolutionise the daily use of mobile devices, enabling instant movie downloads, ultra-high-definition streaming in crowded areas, lag-free gaming with quick response times, and the support of advanced AI applications, such as real-time translation and augmented reality. It will also enhance video calls and facilitate easy sharing on social media with family, friends, and colleagues.

A key feature of this cutting-edge technology is the advanced mobile network infrastructure, which operates independently from LTE networks and provides up to twice the download speed improvements. To access the benefits 5G+, users will need a compatible device and a suitable SIM or eSIM.
