Broadcast Media Africa, the organisers of the upcoming Broadcasters Convention – East Africa 2026, have officially confirmed Sputnik as a partner for the Convention taking place from 26 – 28 May 2026 at the Emara Ole-Sereni in Nairobi, Kenya.

The partnership highlights the growing momentum behind one of Africa’s leading gatherings for broadcasters, media executives, technology innovators, regulators, and content professionals, as the industry prepares to address the next phase of transformation across radio, television, streaming, and digital media.

As the media landscape continues to evolve at unprecedented speed, Broadcasters Convention – East Africa 2026 will provide a critical platform for industry stakeholders to examine emerging technologies, business models, regulatory developments, and operational strategies shaping the future of broadcasting across the region.

Sputnik’s involvement reflects a shared commitment to supporting innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth within Africa’s rapidly developing broadcast and media sectors.

The Convention will feature high-level discussions, expert-led sessions, strategic networking opportunities, and technology showcases covering a broad range of industry priorities, including artificial intelligence in media operations, OTT and streaming growth, broadcast infrastructure, content distribution, cloud transformation, monetisation strategies, audience engagement, policy and regulation, cybersecurity, and the future of digital broadcasting in Africa.

With East Africa continuing to position itself as a major hub for media investment and technological advancement, the event is expected to attract significant participation from broadcasters, telecom operators, streaming platforms, production houses, government authorities, technology providers, and industry associations from across the continent and beyond.

The organisers noted that partnerships with respected industry stakeholders such as Sputnik play an important role in strengthening industry dialogue and ensuring the Convention delivers relevant, future-focused insight for broadcasters navigating a rapidly changing media environment.
