The organisers of the upcoming Broadcasters Convention – East Africa 2026 are pleased to announce LAWO as an official partner for this year’s event, taking place from 26 – 28 May 2026 at the Emara-Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi.

Convened by Broadcast Media Africa (BMA),  co-hosted by the Association of Professional Broadcasters – Kenya (APB-KE), the Media Council of Kenya (MCK), the convention will bring together leading broadcasters, technology providers, regulators, and content innovators from across the region to explore the future of Africa’s broadcast ecosystem.

As a globally recognised leader in IP-based broadcast solutions, LAWO’s participation underscores the growing importance of agile, scalable, and software-defined infrastructure in Africa’s rapidly evolving media landscape. The company’s expertise in audio production, video processing, and control systems aligns closely with the convention’s focus on next-generation broadcast transformation.

Commenting on the partnership, Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa, said, “Partnering with LAWO for the Broadcasters Convention – East Africa 2026 reflects our commitment to bringing world-class technology insights to the African broadcast community. As the industry navigates digital transformation, collaborations with global innovators like LAWO are essential in helping broadcasters future-proof their operations and remain competitive in an increasingly converged media environment.”

The partnership comes at a pivotal time for the region’s broadcast sector, as media organisations accelerate their transition toward IP-based, cloud-enabled, and highly automated workflows. With its globally recognised expertise in broadcast infrastructure and live production technologies, LAWO is poised to provide valuable insights into how African broadcasters can modernise operations while maintaining efficiency and scalability.

Join LAWO’s Brahim Jelassi at the upcoming Broadcasters Convention, which features a comprehensive programme of keynote sessions, panel discussions, technology showcases, and networking opportunities, all designed to address the key challenges and opportunities shaping the region’s broadcasting sector.
