ABS-CBN has reached a significant international milestone with its romantic drama ‘2 Good 2 Be True’, making it the first Philippine teleserye to air on free-to-air television in the Middle East. This series is currently being shown on Dubai One during weekday evenings.
Premiering during Ramadan, a highly competitive television season in the region, the show is available in an English-dubbed version with Arabic subtitles, appealing to Arabic- and English-speaking audiences throughout the Middle East. Viewers can also catch additional repeats every day at 10 am and 4 pm.
Dubai One, run by Dubai Media Incorporated, is a free English-language television channel available across the Middle East and North Africa.
The series features Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla and explores themes of love, redemption, and second chances. Padilla plays Eloy, a mechanic and law student committed to clearing his father’s name, while Bernardo plays Ali, an aspiring doctor and compassionate nurse. The show resonated with audiences in the Philippines, consistently ranking in Netflix Philippines’ Top 10 for an impressive 32 weeks.
This recent success underscores ABS-CBN’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its international presence as it transitions into a global storytelling entity. The network has been working to extend the reach of Filipino content through traditional television, streaming services, and digital platforms worldwide.
This achievement further solidifies the company’s expanding influence in the Middle East entertainment market. In 2024, its drama ‘A Soldier’s Heart’ became the first Filipino series to debut in an Arabic-dubbed version on prominent regional video-on-demand platforms.
With over 50,000 hours of programming distributed to more than 50 countries, ABS-CBN is dedicated to amplifying the global visibility of Filipino storytelling through a growing network of international broadcast and digital partnerships.
