HBO Max Expands Its Reach With 12 New Asia Pacific Launches

February 25, 2026

HBO Max is set to expand its global presence by launching in 12 new markets across the Asia Pacific. This significant rollout will begin on March 26 and include countries such as Bhutan, Fiji, Kiribati, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

This expansion follows HBO Max’s recent launches in Italy and Germany, building momentum ahead of its highly anticipated entry into the UK and Ireland, also scheduled for March. As HBO Max continues to grow, it aims to offer a diverse array of content, including titles from DC Universe, Cartoon Network, and HBO, as well as exclusive Max Originals and hit programming from Discovery and TLC.

At launch, subscribers can look forward to a host of exciting content, including potential Oscar nominees like “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another.” Fans of HBO will be thrilled with access to popular series such as “House of the Dragon,” “The Pitt,” and the upcoming “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.” Additionally, new programming will include the highly anticipated comedy series “Rooster” and the third season of “Euphoria.”

As part of its strategic expansion, HBO Max’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, faces ongoing challenges in the competitive streaming landscape. Recently, Paramount has made headlines by raising its offer to acquire the company to approximately US$32 per share. If this deal goes through, it could disrupt the existing partnership with Netflix, which is currently valued at US$27.75 per share, as well as the value of the separated Discovery Global business.

With more news expected on the Paramount deal, HBO Max’s expansion underscores its commitment to delivering quality content to a growing international audience while navigating the rapidly evolving streaming landscape.
