Wingu Africa And Africa Data Centres Forge Strategic Partnership To Enhance Connectivity Across East Africa

Wingu Africa, a leading carrier-neutral data centre operator in East Africa, has announced a strategic partnership with Africa Data Centres (ADC) to create a robust platform that interlinks key markets throughout the region.

This collaboration connects Wingu’s hubs in East Africa with ADC’s expansive continental network, facilitating seamless integration for enterprises and service providers looking to scale their operations across Africa.

The partnership will unite Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Tanzania with ADC’s vast infrastructure across South, West, and Central Africa, fostering a unified digital ecosystem that offers mutual benefits for both companies.

In addition, ADC customers will gain access to the critical submarine cable gateway in Djibouti, along with opportunities in Ethiopia’s burgeoning digital economy and Tanzania’s rapidly expanding cloud and mobile services sector.

By enhancing connectivity in these regions, the Cassava Technologies subsidiary significantly strengthens its pan-African platform, thereby improving its appeal to enterprises, cloud providers, and content delivery networks seeking a smooth expansion across the continent.

For Wingu Africa, this partnership provides a pathway to connect its East African hubs to ADC’s operations across seven additional markets, thereby simplifying the process for customers to explore new territories without the challenges of managing multiple service providers.

ADC is also poised to strengthen its presence in East Africa through this alliance, gaining access to three of the region’s most critical markets.

Demos Kyriacou, the deputy CEO, COO, and co-founder of Wingu Africa, stated, “This partnership is a landmark achievement for both Wingu Africa and the digital ecosystem in East Africa. By integrating our infrastructure with Africa Data Centres’ extensive network, we empower enterprises to operate across borders with the reliability they require, making Africa’s digital economy more accessible, predictable, and competitive on a global scale.”

Adil El Youssefi, CEO of ADC, highlighted the importance of collaboration and scale in Africa’s digital transformation. He remarked, “Partnering with Wingu Africa enables us to extend our reach into the rapidly growing East African markets, providing ADC customers with a stronger entry point into the region. Simultaneously, Wingu Africa’s customers will now benefit from the extensive coverage of our pan-African network.”
