Morocco: Maroc Telecom Group Surpasses 81 Million Customers, Driving Growth Across Africa

November 4, 2025
Reading Time: 2 mins read
A A

Maroc Telecom Group has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 81 million customers by the close of the third quarter of 2025, marking a 1.8% year-on-year increase. This growth has been fueled by ongoing success in its Moov Africa subsidiaries, which saw a 3.3% increase during the same period.

The strong customer growth highlights Maroc Telecom’s position as a leading telecommunications provider in Africa, with operations across 11 countries. The upward trend is supported by the continued advancement of its international subsidiaries in mobile, fixed broadband, and mobile money services, as well as steady progress in Morocco’s fibre optics and 5G rollout preparations.

In its Q3 2025 financial report, Maroc Telecom reported revenues of MAD 27.3 billion, a 1.2% year-over-year increase, with significant contributions from its subsidiaries. The Group also saw its EBITDA reach MAD 13.7 billion, maintaining a strong margin of 50.2%, while investments increased by 36% to prepare for the launch of 5G in Morocco.

Maroc Telecom continues to enhance its networks via strategic partnerships and infrastructure development, particularly with Inwi in fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and 5G projects. Internationally, the Moov Africa subsidiaries have bolstered their impact by increasing mobile data usage (+15.1%), mobile money transactions (+23.2%), and fixed broadband subscriptions (+19.2%).

This performance underscores Maroc Telecom’s commitment to innovation and long-term investment, aimed at advancing Africa’s digital transformation and solidifying its leadership in both local and international markets.
