In today’s digital landscape, how we consume content is changing rapidly. There is a growing appetite for high-quality, real-time video and multimedia experiences across various platforms and regions. This evolution places increasing pressure on content providers, broadcasters, and telecom operators to deliver cost-effective, scalable, and reliable solutions catering to urban and remote audiences.
In response to this demand, hybrid content delivery frameworks that integrate Satellite and Fibre technologies have emerged as a strong and future-oriented model for content distribution.
In light of these developments, Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is launching the Content Delivery Platform and Services: Satellite Vs Fibre – Survey 2025.
This survey aims to gain insights into the current state, adoption trends, operational challenges, and future possibilities of hybrid content delivery models that use satellite and fibre technologies. The results will serve as valuable information for stakeholders in broadcasting, telecom, content distribution, and policymaking, providing clarity on the effectiveness and evolution of these platforms.
As the media and telecom sectors adapt to meet the rising consumer demands for high-definition, real-time content across multiple devices and borders, it becomes essential to understand how Satellite and Fibre technologies are being integrated and utilised together.
