Xtelify, a subsidiary fully owned by Bharti Airtel, has launched a cutting-edge AI-driven software platform to revolutionise global telecom operations. This innovative solution is designed to help telecom providers streamline their complexities, enhance customer-centricity, elevate user experiences, decrease churn, and boost Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).

As part of a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal, Xtelify has partnered with Airtel Africa. Through this collaboration, Xtelify will supply its advanced software solutions, including Data Engine, Work, and IQ. The implementation of Xtelify Data Engine and Xtelify Work will equip Airtel Africa’s 150,000 field agents across 14 countries with valuable market insights, facilitating targeted micro-strategies and critical functions such as anti-spam and anti-fraud measures to safeguard customers throughout Africa. The Xtelify IQ platform will also enable secure, real-time customer interactions across multiple channels, greatly enhancing service quality and overall customer experience.

Jacques Barkhuizen, Group Chief Information Officer at Airtel Africa, commented, “This partnership is a significant advancement in our goal to shape Africa’s digital future. By utilising Airtel’s AI platforms, which have already proven successful in India, we are simplifying our operations and accelerating the personalisation of customer experiences. The collaboration between Airtel Africa and Airtel India creates a strong synergy that will fuel sustainable growth, innovation, and unparalleled value across our 14 African markets.”

Binod Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer – Global Business at Bharti Airtel, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Airtel Africa. Combining our innovative Xtelify platform with Airtel Africa’s vision will drive their digital transformation and tackle vital industry issues, including spam and fraud, to provide the utmost protection for customers. We are eager to build a lasting partnership and set new industry standards together.”

In addition, Xtelify rolled out “Airtel Cloud,” a telecom-grade sovereign cloud platform capable of handling an astounding 14 billion transactions per minute to serve Airtel’s internal needs in India. This cloud solution is being extended to accommodate the evolving requirements of Indian businesses. Hosted in next-generation, sustainable data centres and powered by automated resource management through generative AI, Airtel Cloud is supported by a team of 300 certified cloud specialists. It delivers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), advanced connectivity options, ensuring secure migrations, seamless scalability, cost efficiencies, and freedom from vendor lock-in.
