As digitisation redefines the broadcast media industry, the radio and sound broadcasting sector is not lacking in innovation. According to the convener of the 6th edition of the Radio Broadcasters Convention – Africa 2025, the industry gathering will, among other things, examine how technologies are driving content distribution and ensuring access to quality audio experiences for multiple audiences.

For instance, the burgeoning usage of AI, cloud broadcasting and advanced streaming platforms is revolutionising content development and distribution. Broadcasters are poised to use these instruments to offer personalised, high-quality audio to listeners across platforms.

Commenting on the upcoming industry convention, Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) and the convener of the event, said: “This landmark event will bring together leading broadcasters, content creators, policymakers, regulators and technology innovators to explore the strategies and tools necessary for shaping the next chapter of radio and audio services in Africa.

The flagship show, convened by Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) and the Southern Africa Broadcasters Association (SABA) and hosted by the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), will take place from 24 to 25 June 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Industry executives and professionals looking to know more about the event can visit here.
