The planned Content and Advertising Connect Show – East Africa organisers, scheduled for the 25th and 26th March 2025 at the Movenpick Hotel & Residences in Nairobi, Kenya, have said it is set to redefine the landscape of ad-funded media and broadcasting in Africa. In a statement released by the event organisers, “The premier event will bring together broadcasters, content publishers, media buyers, audience measurers, advertisers, and agencies to explore the latest trends, innovations, and strategies for monetising content and driving audience engagement across the continent.”

Ad-funded broadcasting remains a cornerstone of the global media industry, offering a win-win for advertisers and audiences alike. As content consumption habits evolve with the proliferation of digital platforms, traditional broadcasters are rethinking their strategies to integrate digital ad models such as addressable TV, dynamic ad insertion, and programmatic advertising into their operations.

Mr. Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa and the event convenor, emphasised the significance of this gathering, “Africa’s broadcast and media industry is experiencing unprecedented growth. The Content and Advertising Connect Show is a unique platform to bridge the gap between content creators and advertisers while fostering innovation and sustainable revenue streams for all stakeholders. This event is about exploring opportunities and shaping the future of ad-funded media on the continent.”

As Africa’s media landscape continues to grow and diversify, ad-funded broadcasting stands out as a vital mechanism for sustaining the industry’s development. By bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and stakeholders, the Content And Advertising Connect Show 2025 will play a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of ad-funded media across the continent.
