Paratus Group Expands Reach With Launch Of Paratus Kenya

Paratus Group, a leading telecommunications and network services provider in Africa, is making strides in its sub-equatorial expansion by introducing Paratus Kenya. This new venture is a collaboration with MoveOn Telecoms Ltd, an established IT and ISP company based in Nairobi.

Initially, Paratus Kenya will focus on delivering and installing Starlink services, which have already gained momentum due to Paratus being recognised as an Authorised Reseller of Starlink’s global LEO (low earth orbit) satellite services throughout Africa. This launch follows closely on the heels of Paratus Eswatini’s recent inauguration, showcasing the company’s accelerating growth trajectory.

Founded in 2015, MoveOn Telecoms Limited (MTL) holds licenses from the Communication Authority of Kenya and the Registrar of Companies to provide a wide range of ICT solutions. MTL brings a wealth of experience and an adept team that offers comprehensive customer and technical support across the telecom spectrum.

Starlink is known for offering high-speed broadband internet via a streamlined, scalable hardware framework, which can be easily deployed in various locations worldwide. The technology’s design circumvents dependency on local infrastructure, creating multiple pathways to the internet and ensuring a reliable service for businesses to operate seamlessly.

Joseph Kibwott, Managing Director of Paratus Kenya, emphasised the company’s dedication to fostering economic growth and job creation. He stated, “Paratus Kenya aims to drive economic development by enhancing internet connectivity, essential for accessing e-government services, promoting remote work, implementing real-time security solutions, and advancing telemedicine. By improving connectivity even in the most isolated regions, we can empower Kenyans and stimulate local economies. Together, we look forward to building a more interconnected and prosperous future for everyone in Kenya.”

Martin Cox, Chief Commercial Officer of Paratus Group, noted, “Expanding into a crucial East African market significantly strengthens our network service offerings. We can customise network solutions for any enterprise seeking a fast, robust, and reliable connection across Africa and globally. Establishing a presence in East Africa has been a key objective for us, and this marks a significant milestone in our regional strategy. It also represents a major advancement in our mission to connect underserved regions of southern Africa. We are proud to partner with MoveOn to bring Starlink services to Kenya.”

This launch is an important step in expanding telecommunications access within the region, aiming to bridge the digital divide and fuel economic ambition.
