Ghana’s Original Showmax Series ‘ENO’ Returns For Season Two

MultiChoice’s Showmax has announced that Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s award-winning Ghanaian drama series, ENO, will return for its second season on February 12, 2024, with new episodes released every week.

In the first season, ENO was one of the most-watched titles on Showmax in Ghana when it was released in 2022.

Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Ken Attoh of Sparrow Studio return to helm the second season. Shirley says, “It’s always satisfying to make Ghanaian content that Ghanaians can enjoy and relate to. There was something very special about ENO’s story from the beginning; I saw a mother’s struggle to ensure her daughters have a much better life than she did, which resonates with many African mothers.”

In ENO season 2, controlling mother Abena Baafi is responsible for saving her daughters Tessa and Safowaa from the harsh realities of her advice, having pushed them to make life choices based solely on money. However, the loss of one daughter and the arrival of another puts a dizzy spin on all her plans, sending the entire family into an abyss of chaos.

Shirley says, “I’m excited to be back for this new season because I believe my team and I did an even better job on the second season, based on the fact that we know these characters better and are more familiar with their struggles and aspirations.”

The cast of ENO season 2 includes Gloria Osei-Sarfo, Emelia Asiedu, Esi Hammond, John Dumelo, Michael Katahena, Godwin Namboh, Michelle Hammond, Brian Angels, Dela Seade, Kabutey Ocansey, Darlyn Adu-Gyamfi, Melvin DK Asinyo, politician and actor Kwame Dzokoto, and TV and radio personality Amanda Jissih.

ENO season 2 is part of Showmax’s robust and exciting February 2024 slate, which includes 20 other Showmax Originals from South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya, as well as international hits like Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, and more.
