BMA has learnt that Vox Studios and The Producers have commenced filming for the highly anticipated sequel, Hepta: The Last Debate. The production, currently underway in Cairo, promises a fresh perspective on romance, building on the success of the original Egyptian film.

The sequel, titled Al Monathra Al Akheera, features a star-studded cast including Menna Shalaby, Karim Fahmy, Salma Abu Deif, Asmaa Galal, Karim Kassem, Mayan El Sayed and Hassan Malek. Fans across the Arab world have eagerly awaited this follow-up since the original film’s release in 2016.

The film is directed by Hadi El Bagoury and based on a screenplay by Mohamed Sadeq, Mohammed Jalal, and Norhan Abu Bakr. The original Hepta film, adapted from Sadek’s best-selling novel, explored the seven stages of love through four interconnected stories and became a major success in Egypt and the Arab world.

While details of the sequel’s plot remain undisclosed, introducing new characters has generated significant interest.

The film’s release date has yet to be confirmed.
