beIN Secures Rights For F1 Across Middle East And North Africa

BeIN Media Group (beIN) has recently acquired the broadcasting rights to F1 ACADEMY, an all-female developmental racing category aimed at nurturing young talent to ascend to the pinnacle of motorsport.

The move is part of beIN’s commitment to women’s sports and its global initiative, beINSPIRED, which aims to provide a larger platform for underrepresented sports and talent, with a particular focus on women in sport. The 2024 season of F1 ACADEMY will take place across seven Grands Prix across three continents, and all races will be aired on beIN’s flagship channels, beIN Sports, and its OTT platform, TOD.

Fifteen young drivers, including three from the MENA region, will participate in the season, which will kick off in Saudi Arabia on March 7 and conclude in Abu Dhabi between December 6-8. The races will showcase the incredible skill, talent, and competitiveness of women in motorsport and inspire a new generation to get involved with the sport.

This partnership strengthens beIN’s commitment to elevating female athletes, driving their visibility, and ensuring they get the broadcasting exposure they deserve. F1 ACADEMY joins a distinguished roster of top-tier women’s sports acquisitions in beIN’s portfolio, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA U17 and U-20 Women’s World Cup. BeIN Sports will continue spotlighting female talent in major events across different markets in the months ahead.
