As OTT content streaming services gain traction across Africa, the success of any service, according to experts, hinges on its ability to acquire subscribers, maximise average revenue per user (ARPU), and outperform local and international competitors.

Organisers of the forthcoming OTT Streaming Platform And Content Management Summit, to be held on Tuesday, 27th – Wednesday, 28th February 2024, at the Capital 15 On Orange in Cape Town, South Africa, says the industry meeting will explore effective strategies, plans and means that would enable content owners and OTT platform providers in Africa emerge victorious in the face of fierce competition.

Convened by Broadcast Media Africa and the Southern Africa Broadcasting Association (SABA), with various other industry partners, the 4th edition industry summit is the platform to gain insights into the rapid development of OTT streaming and content on-demand service offerings and the place to achieve a precise view of market dynamics and real opportunities in the region.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Meda Africa, said: “As broadcasters, publishers and telcos in Africa begin to ramp up their OTT services, this event brings together major players within Africa and the broader global OTT streaming and content management ecosystem to explore service development, infrastructure build-out and management as well as effective monetisation plans for successful and sustainable OTT streaming and content management services in Africa.”

Organisers invite industry executives and professionals wishing to know more to visit the event website here.
