BMA Webinar: The Future Of Broadcast Facilities And Infrastructure Management

September 17, 2026
Reading Time: 2 mins read
A A

As broadcasters across Africa accelerate the adoption of IP, cloud, automation and software-defined technologies, the complexity of managing modern broadcast infrastructure is increasing.

Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) will host the Broadcast Media Facilities and Systems Management webinar on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, bringing together industry professionals to examine how broadcasters can build more resilient, efficient and future-ready technical environments.

The webinar will bring together professionals across broadcast engineering, technical operations, facilities management, IT, infrastructure and systems management to explore the evolving requirements of managing the facilities and technical systems that underpin modern broadcasting.

Today’s broadcast environments increasingly combine traditional broadcast infrastructure with IP-based workflows, cloud technologies, virtualised systems, data centres, automation and digital distribution platforms. As these systems become more interconnected, effective facilities and systems management is critical to maintaining operational continuity, reliability, security, performance and cost efficiency.

The webinar will explore practical approaches to managing and modernising broadcast facilities, infrastructure, networks, power and cooling systems, monitoring platforms, maintenance programmes and technology lifecycles.

Discussions will also examine the transition from conventional broadcast infrastructure to more software-defined, IP-based, cloud-enabled, and hybrid environments, while addressing key operational challenges including ageing infrastructure, constrained budgets, skills shortages, cybersecurity risks, and the growing complexity of media technology environments.

Key discussion areas will include managing the modern broadcast facility, broadcast systems infrastructure and lifecycle management, IP and cloud-based infrastructure, virtualised broadcast environments, monitoring, automation and intelligent systems management.

The forum will provide a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange practical insights, share experiences, and explore strategies to improve the resilience, performance, and efficiency of broadcast operations.

As broadcasting continues to evolve, effective management of the infrastructure behind media operations will be essential to ensuring organisations can modernise while maintaining reliable and sustainable services.

The Broadcast Media Facilities and Systems Management webinar takes place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, providing industry professionals with an opportunity to explore how smarter facilities and systems management can support the next generation of broadcasting.
