Communication and audio production needs in broadcast environments are evolving toward increasingly flexible, IP-native, and mobile systems. In line with this trend, AEQ will showcase its latest developments in audio, communications, and intercom solutions at IBC2026, addressing the technical requirements of studio, outdoor, and live production environments.
Among the standout new releases is Forum IP PLUS, AEQ’s new AoIP digital console, designed for radio and broadcast production environments that require maximum flexibility and seamless integration into modern IP infrastructures. As an evolution of the well-known FORUM series, it combines ease of use with extensive configuration capabilities, adapting to all types of scenarios, from compact studios to complex installations. It features 32 mix and processing buses and 10 N-1 buses, along with multichannel connectivity via AoIP or MADI. Optional features include telephone hybrids, a virtual control surface, and a touchscreen for control and monitoring. Its modular 3RU FR_CORE engine supports up to 24 motorised faders in groups of four and up to 180 channels, delivering a powerful, scalable solution ready for today’s broadcast demands.
Also featured is Systel MAX, the evolution of AEQ’s professional communications platform, geared toward advanced management of calls, intercommunication, and multi-conferencing over IP. Systel MAX expands integration possibilities with AV environments, broadcast, corporate PBX systems, and VoIP services, offering greater capacity, scalability, and control in complex communication systems.
Alongside these releases, AEQ will also present its solution for wireless intercommunication, the XPLORER MAX wireless beltpack, designed to meet the technical requirements of audiovisual productions in studios, outdoor settings, and live events. XPLORER MAX uses high-performance digital radio in the 5 GHz band, delivering clear and stable communications in any working environment, whether indoors or outdoors, centralised or distributed. Its design features programmable keys and a multifunction display, giving users standard intercom panel functionality in a compact, portable format, especially suited to operators and technicians who need to move around during production.
One of the standout aspects of XPLORER MAX is its flexibility. The system can be integrated into matrix-based intercom infrastructures and work with AEQ solutions, making it easy to incorporate into large AV and broadcast installations. At the same time, it can operate matrix-free, as part of XPEAK-based systems or Party-Line configurations. It also offers an extensive range, as a single antenna covers up to 600 metres.
Within AEQ’s intercom systems, XPEAK, with its novel architecture based on a distributed virtual matrix and its plug-and-play philosophy, simplifies installation and enables real-time communication between local and remote users, using beltpacks, physical panels, or software solutions.
Visitors to IBC2026 will be able to explore Forum IP PLUS, Systel MAX, the XPLORER MAX and the rest of AEQ’s intercom solutions in detail, along with other AEQ news, at RAI Amsterdam, Hall 8, booth 8.C55, where live demonstrations will be held.
