Jamie Dunn Takes The Helm As CEO Of Lawo AG: A New Era Of Innovation And Leadership

Lawo has appointed Jamie Dunn as the new Chief Executive Officer of Lawo AG, ushering in a significant new era for the international technology leader in live media production solutions. Dunn, a member of Lawo since 2011, has held the positions of Management Board member and Deputy CEO since 2024.

In his new leadership role, Dunn will guide the ongoing development of the Lawo Group, leveraging over a decade of experience in the organisation and a comprehensive understanding of the global broadcasting and media landscape. Jamie remarked, “Lawo has always thrived due to its exceptional people, strong partnerships, core values, and focus on innovation. I am honoured to take the helm as we embark on this exciting new chapter for such an extraordinary company. There are tremendous opportunities ahead for us.”

As part of this leadership transition, Philipp Lawo has resigned from his position on the Lawo AG Management Board and has been appointed to the company’s Supervisory Board. This move aims to enhance corporate governance by clearly separating executive management from oversight functions.

The current Management Board consists of Dunn as CEO and Vorstand, Claus Gärtner as CFO and Vorstand, Andreas Hilmer as CMO, Christian Lukic as CSCO, Phil Myers as CTO, and Ulrich Schnabl as COO. The company emphasised that this collaborative leadership approach has been crucial in maintaining strategic focus and operational resilience amid global economic uncertainties.

Michael Sonnabend, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed, “These changes reinforce our confidence in Lawo’s established management model and the strong teamwork within the Management Team. This transition is designed to ensure the company’s continued stability as we look toward the future.”

Under the joint leadership of its Management Team, Lawo has adeptly navigated global market challenges while propelling its transformation into a leader in IP- and IT-based audio and video media infrastructure solutions. Sonnabend noted, “This Management Team has consistently proven its capability to define, implement, and achieve the company’s long-term vision.”

Although Philipp Lawo will step back from day-to-day operations, he will stay actively involved in guiding the future direction of the group. As the sole Vorstand of Lawo Holding AG, he will oversee the strategic development of the larger Lawo Group, reinforcing the founding family’s values throughout the organisation.

Sonnabend added, “We aim to build upon Lawo’s solid groundwork while pursuing a sustainable and robust growth model. The Supervisory Board has complete trust in Jamie Dunn and the entire Management Team. With their collective skills and commitment, Lawo is well-positioned for the next phase of its journey.”
