Nigeria: New Sports Radio Station Launches In Lagos

Sportivation Media, a dedicated sports media company, has officially unveiled Sportivation Radio, an online radio station offering timely, reliable, and engaging broadcasts to listeners across Nigeria and beyond.

The introduction of Sportivation Radio represents a pivotal step in the company’s mission to advance sports development and storytelling through innovative media channels.

Listeners can expect live commentary, comprehensive analysis, documentaries, and exclusive features highlighting prominent sports figures. The station will cover game days, engage in community-focused programming, spotlight grassroots sports, and foster discussions on both local and international sports, all while intertwining entertainment elements.

Taiwo Ibrahim, the Chief Executive Officer of Sportivation Media, lauded Sportivation Radio as a transformative advancement in Nigerian sports broadcasting amid the digital evolution.

“Sportivation Radio was born from a profound passion for sports and the recognition of a gap in how sports narratives are shared and experienced. Often, media coverage zeroes in on scores and headlines, neglecting the stories, struggles, and impact that happen behind the scenes. We established Sportivation Radio to shift that focus,” Ibrahim stated.

“Our goal is to create a credible and inclusive platform that amplifies the voices of athletes, fans, coaches, administrators, media professionals, and emerging talents at all levels. We strive to provide accurate news, thoughtful analysis, and engaging discussions that embody the true essence of sports and its significance in society.”

The programming will blend sports with entertainment to cater to its listeners’ diverse interests.

With a skilled team of seasoned broadcasters, analysts, and emerging media professionals, Sportivation Radio aims to redefine the standards of sports radio by integrating traditional broadcasting practices with innovative digital strategies to engage a broader, younger audience.

Furthermore, Ibrahim emphasised the station’s commitment to nurturing budding media talent and creating new opportunities in sports broadcasting. Sportivation Radio can be accessed through Sportivation.com, social media platforms such as Facebook, and other radio apps like Radio World and Naija Radio Portal.

Sportivation Media is committed to delivering high-quality sports content, fostering talent development, and encouraging meaningful discussions within the sports industry through a variety of media initiatives, including radio and digital platforms.
