Eutelsat has announced the renewal of its longstanding collaboration with MBC Group, a prominent media network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

This renewed agreement allows MBC Group to continue utilising Eutelsat’s 7/8° West video neighbourhood to distribute its extensive range of premium entertainment, news, and cultural channels to millions of households throughout the MENA region. The 7/8° West video neighbourhood provides coverage that reaches 95% of satellite homes in the area, ensuring excellent signal quality.

For over a decade, Eutelsat and the MBC Group have partnered closely to deliver reliable, high-quality broadcast services. This renewed collaboration reinforces the strength of their relationship. It highlights the strategic significance of the 7/8° West position, which houses the largest cluster of free-to-air (FTA) and pay-TV channels in the region.

Raymond Estphan Rahme, RVP MENA Sales for Eutelsat’s Video Business Unit, expressed pride in continuing the strong partnership with MBC Group. He noted, “This renewal demonstrates the confidence they have in Eutelsat’s ability to provide dependable satellite broadcasting services from the 7/8° West position, allowing MBC to deliver premium content to audiences throughout the region.”

Joe Igoe, Chief Operating Officer at MBC Group, remarked, “Our renewed partnership with Eutelsat underscores MBC Group’s commitment to providing top-tier entertainment and news to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa. The 7/8° West position remains vital to our broadcasting strategy, ensuring the highest quality and reliability for millions of households that depend on MBC every day.”
