Key Industry Leaders Will Convene For The SABA Broadcasters Convention 2025 In Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

The Broadcasters Convention – Southern Africa 2025 is set to bring together leading voices from Africa and beyond to discuss the future of broadcasting in the region.

The convention, which will take place from 28 to 30 October 2025 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, will feature an eminent line-up of speakers and panellists, covering topics ranging from digital transformation and content sustainability to regional collaboration and innovation in broadcasting technology.

Some of the speakers include:

  • Hon. Dr Jenfan Muswere, Minister, Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services (Zimbabwe)
  • Mr Stanley B. Similo, Director General, Namibian Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mr Mlamuli Dlamini, Chief Executive Officer, Eswatini TV
  • Mr Buyani Zwongwani, Acting Director General, Botswana Television
  • Ms Helliate Rushwaya, Board Chairman, Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mr George Kasakula, Director General, Malawi Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mr Berard Dupres, Chief Executive Officer, Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation
  • Ms Nada Wotshela, Group Executive – Radio, South African Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director General, VON Nigeria
  • Mrs Thato Nkahle, Director General, Lesotho Broadcasting Services
  • Dr Maxwell Phiri, Director Administration, Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mr Sugar Chagonda, Director General, Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation
  • Mr Matthias Chakanyuka, Acting CEO, Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe

“These industry leaders will provide insights that are critical to advancing broadcasting across Southern Africa,” said Mr Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa. “The discussions will address the industry’s challenges and highlight the opportunities for growth, innovation, and regional cooperation.”
