A newly restructured entity has emerged, encompassing the entire African continent, including French-speaking regions, and will function under a cohesive management system.

Calvo Mawela, the former CEO of MultiChoice, has stepped up as the chairman of CANAL+ Africa. At the same time, David Mignot has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the combined organisation.

“We are fortunate to have an outstanding leadership team for Africa, with a proven track record both on the continent and within the broader global organisation. Together, we aim to drive growth across Africa by showcasing unique, high-quality African narratives, delivering exceptional international content to our subscribers, and maximising our scale throughout the global framework. Representing seven nationalities, our team brings diversity, in-depth knowledge, and essential networks to ensure top-tier services and content for our subscribers, all backed by commercial and technical excellence.”
