The Saudi Film Commission is set to host the third edition of the Saudi Film Confex from October 22 to 25 in Riyadh, themed “A Gathering That Transforms the Scene.” This event will bring together prominent filmmakers, local and international producers, and industry experts worldwide.

Building on the achievements of previous editions, the confex aims to further solidify its role as a catalyst for the Kingdom’s film sector, promoting investment, forging strategic partnerships, and aligning with the Vision 2030 National Culture Strategy, which focuses on cultural growth and development.

As a vital networking platform, the Saudi Film Confex connects all players within the filmmaking ecosystem, including production and distribution companies, service providers, investors, and funding institutions. This year’s event will highlight production opportunities, enhance the country’s film infrastructure, and support startups and entrepreneurs entering the industry.

The program features an international conference, comprising over 30 panel discussions and workshops, addressing topics such as film financing, content development, and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, side events and specialised seminars will be conducted to introduce young talent and a broader audience to various career paths and professional roles within the industry.

An expanded exhibition will be a significant highlight, showcasing more than 130 participants from local, regional, and international backgrounds. Specific areas will highlight production houses, studios, equipment rental suppliers, post-production services, cinematic technologies, streaming platforms, and government partners. Educational institutions, film associations, and investment bodies will also participate, creating a platform for inclusive collaboration.

Exhibitor registration for the 2025 edition is now open via the official Saudi Film Confex website and social media channels. Participating companies can present their projects, unveil innovations, and establish partnerships that support market growth and enhance Saudi Arabia’s stature in the global film industry.

Following a successful turnout and notable participation in the 2024 edition, the upcoming confex is poised to broaden its scope and content, highlighting the increasing economic impact of Saudi Arabia’s film sector while showcasing Saudi talent on the international stage.
