he El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) has revealed that its eighth edition will take place from October 16 to 24, 2025, in the coastal town of El Gouna, Egypt.

Building on the success of its seventh edition, which showcased over 80 films from 40 countries and selected 21 standout projects from over 230 submissions, the festival remains committed to celebrating cinematic excellence. The previous edition featured 20 panels, nine masterclasses, workshops and a roundtable with industry leaders while centralising its industry-focused activities at the Festival Plaza. The 2025 event aims to further enhance this legacy, offering an even richer experience for filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences.

The upcoming festival will present a curated selection of feature films, shorts and works in progress, complemented by masterclasses, panels and workshops. These events foster dialogue, collaboration, and innovation within the global film community, reinforcing El Gouna Film Festival’s status as a premier destination for cinematic creativity and cultural exchange.
