Egypt Film Commission Partners With Location Managers Guild To Elevate Filming Opportunities

The Egypt Film Commission has signed an agreement with the Location Managers Guild International, represented by John Rakich, the Guild’s President. The move aims to strengthen Egypt’s position as a major destination for shooting international films.

The signing took place during an official ceremony attended by a group of international filmmakers and location managers. The ceremony aimed to enhance cooperation between the two sides and highlight Egypt’s potential as one of the world’s leading destinations for filming movies.

Egypt is distinguished by the diversity of its filming locations, which combine archaeological sites dating back to ancient Pharaonic civilisations, picturesque coastal cities such as Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, and unique white and black deserts. This natural and cultural diversity has made Egypt a distinctive location that captures the interest of prominent directors and location managers.

The Egypt Film Commission confirmed that the facilities and services it provides to international filmmakers, including facilitating filming permits, simplifying administrative procedures, and integrated logistical services, have played a major role in making Egypt a preferred choice for international film productions.

John Rakich also expressed his admiration for Egypt’s unique capabilities and filming locations, noting that cooperation with the Egypt Film Commission will strengthen the vision of filming site managers who choose Egypt as an ideal destination for their works.
