The Broadcast Media Africa Awards 2026 will recognise the people, organisations, content and innovations shaping the future of Africa’s broadcast media industry, with the second edition bringing together 17 categories spanning the breadth of the continent’s evolving media landscape.

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the 2nd Broadcast Media Africa Awards will once again spotlight the achievements driving innovation, creativity, audience engagement and transformation across African broadcasting.

The 2026 awards recognise excellence across areas including broadcast leadership, local content production, audience engagement, commercial innovation, community media, content creation, radio, television, streaming, podcasting, broadcast technology and digital transformation.

The awards also bring together an independent panel of experienced industry professionals to assess entries, with judges reflecting expertise across broadcasting, content development, production, and public and commercial media.

As African broadcasters navigate rapid technological change, evolving audience behaviour and new content consumption models, the awards provide an opportunity to recognise the organisations and individuals responding to these shifts and making a measurable contribution to the industry.

The Broadcast Media Africa Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on 24 October 2026 in Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles, bringing together broadcasters, media executives, content creators, technology providers and industry stakeholders from across Africa.

The awards are not only about recognising established industry leaders. They also provide a platform to spotlight emerging voices, innovative initiatives and standout work demonstrating where African media is heading next.

With the second edition, Broadcast Media Africa continues its commitment to celebrating the talent, creativity and innovation driving the continent’s broadcast and media ecosystem forward.
