Managing The Modern Broadcast Facility: BMA Webinar To Examine The Future Of Broadcast Facilities And Systems Management

As broadcast facilities become increasingly complex, connected, and software-driven, broadcasters face growing pressure to manage infrastructure that delivers greater flexibility, efficiency, and reliability while keeping pace with rapid technological change.

Against this backdrop, Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) will host a webinar on Tuesday, 03 November 2026, bringing together industry professionals and technology experts to examine “Managing the Modern Broadcast Facility“ and the evolving demands of broadcast facilities and systems management.

The webinar will explore how broadcasters can rethink facility management as traditional infrastructure converges with IP, cloud, automation, virtualisation and other emerging technologies. It will also consider the operational challenges involved in maintaining increasingly hybrid environments while ensuring service continuity, resilience and cost efficiency.

Key discussion areas include managing modern broadcast infrastructure, systems integration, preventive maintenance, monitoring and automation, lifecycle management, operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and the skills required to manage next-generation facilities.

Benjamin Pius, CEO of Broadcast Media Africa, said the changing nature of broadcast infrastructure requires a more strategic approach to facility management.

“The modern broadcast facility is no longer simply a physical space filled with broadcast equipment. It is an increasingly interconnected technology environment where infrastructure, software, networks, cloud platforms and automation must work together seamlessly. Managing these environments effectively requires broadcasters to rethink how they approach operations, maintenance, resilience and investment.”

He added that the webinar will give industry stakeholders an opportunity to examine practical approaches to managing this transition.

“As broadcasters modernise their facilities, the challenge is not simply adopting new technologies, but ensuring that these technologies deliver reliable and sustainable operational value. This webinar will bring together industry perspectives to address some of the critical questions facing facility and systems managers today.”

The session will give broadcasters, engineers, technical managers, systems integrators, technology providers, and other industry stakeholders a chance to share experiences and explore practical strategies for managing the modern broadcast environment.
