Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) is delighted to announce the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as the official media partner for the 7th Radio Broadcasting Convention – Africa 2026, taking place on 01 – 02 July 2026 at The Venue, Green Park, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The partnership brings together two organisations committed to strengthening Africa’s radio broadcasting sector by promoting innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the industry.

As Africa’s leading annual gathering dedicated to radio and audio broadcasting, the Convention will bring together broadcasters, regulators, policymakers, technology providers, content producers, and media executives from across the continent to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the industry’s future. Discussions will focus on AI-driven broadcasting, digital transformation, content innovation, audience engagement, revenue diversification, and sustainable business models for radio.

As the Convention’s official media partner, SABC will play an important role in raising awareness of the event and extending its reach to broadcasters and media professionals across South Africa and the wider African broadcasting community.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr Benjamin Pius, Chief Executive Officer of Broadcast Media Africa and Convener of the Convention, said, “We are pleased to welcome SABC as the official media partner for the 7th Radio Broadcasting Convention – Africa 2026. SABC remains one of Africa’s most respected public broadcasters, with a rich heritage of serving diverse audiences and embracing innovation in broadcasting. Their partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting industry dialogue and creating opportunities for broadcasters to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and identify practical solutions that will shape the future of radio broadcasting across Africa.”

The Convention has become one of Africa’s leading platforms for industry collaboration, bringing together decision-makers from across the broadcasting value chain to exchange ideas, share best practices, discover new technologies, and identify practical strategies for strengthening radio broadcasting in an increasingly digital and competitive environment.

The 7th Radio Broadcasting Convention – Africa 2026 will feature keynote addresses, executive panel discussions, case studies, technology showcases, and networking opportunities designed to provide participants with practical insights into the evolving radio and audio broadcasting landscape.
