Eccho Rights Expands Horizons With Turkish Animated Content Acquisition

Eccho Rights has taken a significant step in diversifying its content lineup by acquiring worldwide television and theatrical distribution rights for two notable animated franchises from Türkiye: King Shakir (Kral Şakir) and Super Team (Süper Bir Takım), created by Grafi2000 Productions.

This strategic agreement allows the international distributor to extend its footprint into the animation industry while continuing to showcase Turkish content to global audiences.

King Shakir is celebrated as Türkiye’s premier animated franchise and holds the title of the longest-running and most-viewed animated series on Cartoon Network Turkey. With an impressive catalogue of 400 episodes spanning four seasons, it has also produced four feature films, solidifying its status as a beloved brand among children and families.

On the other hand, Super Team has quickly gained popularity, emerging as another standout product from the same creative team. This superhero comedy series comprises 52 episodes and was recently complemented by a feature film that premiered earlier this year.

Varol Yaşaroğlu, the creator and producer at Grafi2000, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “Eccho Rights knows how to cultivate genuine international audiences for Turkish content. This collaboration provides King Shakir and Super Team with the global visibility they truly deserve. We have always believed that the humour, characters, and heart of these stories can resonate with children and families worldwide.”

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, remarked, “Our mission at Eccho Rights has consistently been to discover exceptional content and connect it with viewers globally. King Shakir is a well-established franchise with a strong track record. At the same time, Super Team introduces another captivating universe from the same creative vision, which exemplifies the high-quality, distinctly Turkish storytelling that we are committed to promoting on the international stage.”

With this acquisition, Eccho Rights is bolstering its presence in the global content market, reflecting a growing ambition to present Turkish animated productions to audiences outside the domestic landscape, following the rising success of Turkish entertainment worldwide.
